I’m a 3D Generalist in the Greater Atlanta area. I work as a freelance artist on a wide variety of projects from concept design and 3D modeling to TV show and sports graphics. I have a passion for learning, design, as well as problem solving and enjoy taking on challenging projects.
Below are some of the software I am proficient in:
MICHAEL LEITMANN
Learning and developing a diverse suite of skills in my career as a digital artist to continue creating entertaining and creative content for film, television and the web.
Project Overview: Working as part of a small and skilled team at Finished Art Inc., the objective of this project was to create a working prototype of an automated product rendering system designed to seamlessly integrate into a print production workflow at Coke. The goal was to have a user submit a label or artwork, that has gone through the necessary channels of approval, to the system and deliver high resolution beauty renders back to the user via email. The prototype was built around the flagship 20 oz bottle and leveraged 3D software as well as Python working together on a server to deliver the automated renders.
Work summary: Working as a part of a small team, my time at NBA TV was spent updating show packages with new logos, re-branding current shows and developing graphics packages for new shows. This was a fast paced work environment with the expectation of high quality work delivered quickly. My time at NBA TV greatly helped hone my problem solving skills in Maya, scripting with MEL to automate tasks and working with complex projects in After Effects.
Project Overview: Working as part of a small and skilled team at Finished Art Inc., the objective of this project was to create a digital version of an existing workflow by which Coke products and secondary packaging (paperboard and shrink wraps) are re-branded for future campaigns and are subject to an approval process by which the product with new artwork and labels can be assessed by relevant parties.
This was previously done in White room where new labels and packaging were physically cut out and placed on products. Our goal was to take this process to the digital world, saving time, money, eliminating waste and making the process flexible.
Position Summary: I worked with the university video production team of 3 full time staff members and 10 students. My primary responsibilities included, providing motion graphics and design elements for a variety of promotional videos, develop new branding elements for the campus wide digital signage network “Owl TV”, and lastly mentor and manage 10 student assistants in all aspects of our production pipeline.
The objective of this project was to create an automated rendering system that would seamlessly integrate into an exsisting creative and approval work flow. This was a collborative effort as part of a small team at Finished ART INC. My roles were 3D design and developing the automated system.

REZ is an automated product rendering system that leverages 3D software together with Python to provide the user or client with high resolution renders. In the prototype we used the 20oz Coke bottle as our product.
The system is designed to be used as part of a print production pipeline where new label designs for upcoming campaigns can be viewed on specific products for approval.
The request for a render is sent to a server with the specified artwork or label and is rendered and returned to the user via email.
The goal of this project was to update the Game Time graphics package with KIA's new flagship model, the 2018 Kia Stinger GT.

This concept was created for the university's first large video wall in the library. The wall is a touch screen and I developed a touch interface from which users can play video, slide shows, and access the web with icons displayed on the left and the right.
